The Ultimate Morning Routine

You do not have to start your day with sewing a dress, reading a book, or maybe two or three, but having a morning routine that suits your needs will make you want to get out of bed in the morning. Is getting up early hard for you? Find the power to get out of bed and say “today is going to be a good day.”
You do not need to rouse yourself at 5 am in order to get everything you want to be done before work, but having some extra time in the morning can be helpful. Drink a tall glass of water to stay hydrated (try some fresh lemon juice squeezed in your water to add alkalinity) and perk yourself up.
Depending on how much you have to do in the morning that will determine when you need to wake up. I like to get up at least an hour before I have to leave for work. That gives me time to get dressed, cook & eat, and do a bit of yoga. I shower at night so that I have more time in the morning to do other things. I find that even though the water can wake you up in the morning I don’t like to start my day with wet hair.
Having a routine down can make you feel more balanced and organized for the day to come. Fitness has become a new aspect of my morning routine and I think it has greatly improved my motivation on days I just don’t want to get out of bed. Waking up to a tall glass of water, a healthy breakfast, and a nice yoga flow to align all my priorities for the day. It makes my body and mind feel better and more focused.
Another way to get you ready for the day is when that alarm goes off get up! Try putting your alarm clock on the other side of the room so that in order for it to shut up, you have to get up and get started. Just be sure not to crawl back into bed after you have shut it off. I like to make my bed right after my alarm gets off to deter me from crawling back into the cave of fluffy blankets.
Your morning schedule does not have to be broken down by every five minutes, but a written out plan of what you are going to do can help especially when determining when you need to get up. Here is a rough outline that can be modified to your needs
